With expanding operations, DPR was brought on board to construct the office tenant improvement on three floors of a newly constructed building in downtown Palo Alto for a website company. The new space features an open office environment as well as private offices, conference rooms, break rooms, focus booths, game rooms, a collaboration area, and reception space that doubled as an all-hands meeting area.
The project also included 1,570-sq.-ft. of interior renovation in a two-level historical building located onsite.
DPR worked closely with Gensler Architects, Inga Birkenstock Lighting Designs, WSP Flack + Kurtz, DES Architects and Engineers, and Jones Lang LaSalle to bring together distinctive lighting, glass, steel, concrete, reclaimed wood, and a bright color pallet in this unique office space.
DPR was challenged with a fast-paced schedule, adjacent residential properties, and a core and shell that was still under construction by the developer’s general contractor.
Several factors contributed to the project's success, including working closely with the tenant, property owner, and design team during the preconstruction phase; teaming with DPR self-performed work; and selecting quality subcontractors.
