First announced in August 2021, the Meta (formerly Facebook) Mesa Data Center is a greenfield development of a five-building campus encompassing over 2.5 million square feet of data center and admin space. During construction, the number of skilled tradespeople onsite will peak at 2,000 workers.
Once complete, the Mesa Data Center will be among the most advanced and energy- and water-efficient data centers in the world and provide over 200 operational jobs to the local community. The site will be supported by 100% renewable energy and is slated for LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The Mesa Data Center will be Meta's 18th data center development globally and 14th in the United States. DPR previously delivered Meta's first greenfield development at the Prineville Data Center, followed by the Forest City Data Center and Luleå Data Center. DPR is currently building the Fort Worth Data Center, Henrico Data Center, and Gallatin Data Center for Meta.
