What We Build

Hospitality

Delivering more than just a hotel

DPR’s hospitality teams build projects large and small, including limited-service, full-service and world-class luxury hotels and resorts. From resorts that are destinations unto themselves to urban high-rises to complex renovations, DPR has earned its reputation as a leading hospitality builder by always viewing our projects through the owner’s eyes.
Hospitality Expertise
Your Brand

Is a Promise

The hotels we’ve constructed range from unique boutique properties to projects for major brands including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, and more. Our hospitality teams understand the complexity that comes with building and opening a hotel, from nuanced brand standards to specific owner requirements to a flawless guest experience. This knowledge allows us to create accurate master schedules that account for milestones unique to hospitality projects.

What Does This Mean

For you?

It means having a partner that shares your goals. We go beyond just delivering a building. It’s about helping our customers make strategic decisions that streamline operations, improve guest experiences and keep the hotel competitive in the market. DPR understands how a hotel opens and operates beyond its construction—it’s what sets us apart from the competition.

A Holistic

Approach

At DPR, we go “all in” at the outset of a project, coordinating with stakeholders to avoid delays. We critically analyze each phase of the project—not just construction—and establish scheduling milestones according to our customers' needs. This includes completing model rooms early in the schedule as well as coordinating with consultants for specialties such as food and beverage, kitchen equipment, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) procurement and installation and, most importantly, operations.

Self-Performing

As a self-performing technical builder, DPR brings a unique ability to deliver multiple scopes of work including concrete structure, framing and drywall, doors and hardware, specialties and FF&E services. Our well-trained self-perform crews help us deliver a higher quality product as well as cost and schedule predictability.

Prefabrication

Prefabrication isn’t right for every project, but as industry leaders, we can help guide customers with recommendations on the best approach to prefabrication. Whether it is exterior skin panels, modular guest rooms or prefabricated structural panelized stud systems, our team of experts focuses on prefabricated solutions. Additionally, our approach prioritizes cost and scheduling predictability, technology, and safety and security, while creating functional, comfortable spaces for owners and their guests.

Project Types
What We

Build

Our hospitality team has constructed hotels ranging from new builds to complex renovations such as room remodels, hotel rebrands, public space and amenity improvements, and additions. We build and renovate a variety of hotel properties, including:

  • Combining learning and networking spaces with recreation and traditional hotel spaces for thousands takes technical know-how. Our experts bring years of experience to make sure that every system for every purpose is delivered as planned so guests can gather, learn, connect and reflect.

    JW Marriott Austin

  • For a property with all the amenities, you want a contractor that offers just as much. With solutions throughout the project lifecycle – from prefabrication to technical expertise ready for any end user – we work with you to turn drawings into revenue-producing rooms as efficiently as possible.

    JW Marriott Charlotte

  • We focus on efficient delivery methods, including prefabrication and a corps of ready-to-deploy self-perform craft workers to bring your facility online and generating revenue as soon as possible.

    AC by Marriott Scottsdale

  • Two brands are better than one! But we know property owners have one goal: meeting the needs of two different guest profiles. We focus on efficiency on both sides of the house to ensure seamless, predictable delivery.

The Otis Hotel, Autograph Collection and AC Hotel Austin

  • A unique guest experience means not taking the cookie-cutter approach. We align with customers and their design vision to deliver properties that make memorable experiences, from guest rooms to dining that becomes a neighborhood staple.

    Perry Lane Hotel

  • Relaxing guests never notice what’s behind the walls and spaces – that’s the idea. That takes flawless execution and the kind of attention to quality we bring along with our efficiency-focused delivery approach. You want your guests to think you didn’t miss a detail. We’ll make sure we don’t!

    Margaritaville Resort Orlando Hotel

  • We all need a spa day now and then. We aim to make the renovation process as smooth as one, too. Keeping your property fresh while also profitable takes coordination. We know how to bring all project partners to the table to ensure updates can happen without interfering with the guest experience.
