Kicking off in August 2020, Facebook's Gallatin Data Center is a greenfield development of a multi-building data center campus. Once complete in late 2023, the campus will encompass nearly 1 million square feet of data center and admin space.
The site will be supported be 100% renewable energy, use 80% less water than a typical data center, and LEED Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The Gallatin Data Center is Facebook's 17th data center development globally and 13th in the United States. DPR previously delivered Facebook's first green development at the Prineville Data Center, followed by the Forest City Data Center and Luleå Data Center. DPR is currently delivering the Fort Worth Data Center and Henrico Data Center for Facebook.
The entire development is being designed and constructed to achieve LEED® BD+C Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
