This project forged a budding relationship between DPR and WeWork in the Atlanta area. When WeWork needed additional resources for the project, they asked DPR to step in and provide construction management services. DPR served as an extension of WeWork on the site with a DPR Superintendent, Project Manager, and self-perform workforce to push the schedule and coordinate the subcontractors.
As the construction manager on the project, DPR assisted with schedule analysis and implementation, material inventory, progress reports, implementation of a site safety program, and quality control. DPR also ensured a smooth closeout process by providing punch-list management and coordination of inspections. This multi-phased 61,000 SF interior renovation to the WeWork Buckhead (Tower Place) office location includes Phase 1 - 28,000-sq.-ft. and Phase 2 - 33,000-sq.-ft., which were completed within 4 months. DPR then transitioned into the role of GC for Phase 3, which included demolition to existing finishes in the existing gymnasium, rough-in for all new MEP with a ceiling height of 36’, construction of new conference and bleacher area, and finishing out the space, including an extensive millwork package.
