What is it like to work at DPR Construction?
We asked some of our interns to share about their experience.
DPR internships give you the chance to see different roles on a project.
At DPR, some of the most meaningful things we build aren’t measured in square feet. We don’t just strive to be the best general contractor; our mission is to be the most admired company—period. That means investing in each other, our planet and the communities we call home.
The DPR team reflects the diversity of the communities where we live, work, serve and build. Respect for the individual is one of our core beliefs and that supports a culture of belonging where all are encouraged to thrive as their most authentic selves. We're proud to be a founding member of Construction Inclusion Week and are committed to keeping the conversation going all year round.
We believe that philanthropy and volunteering are about more than giving money to a cause and checking a box. We combine our unique skills and resources as a company with a careful selection of nonprofit partners to create real social change.

Our eight ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that give employees from underrepresented populations and their allies a voice and path toward advocacy, exposure, development, and change empowerment.

We invest heavily in innovation that reduces waste and saves the planet’s resources. And DPR doesn’t just build green, we live it. Our commitment includes investment in our own net-zero-energy offices that serve as living labs to tracking our energy and water use, a vital component of our carbon footprint. Explore a few!
Our Silicon Valley office is designed to achieve Net-Zero Energy (NZE), LEED Gold, WELL Gold, and, for the first time at DPR, Net Zero Carbon certification. We incorporated sustainable solutions like mass timber construction and a low-carbon concrete mix. This mix uses fly ash, slag, and captured CO₂ to reduce embodied carbon by 38% compared to industry averages—equivalent to removing 277 cars from the road for a year or offsetting 1,357 acres of forest.
Rather than building new, we chose to renovate a 20,000-sq.-ft. space, which had been vacant for more than seven years, for our Mid-Atlantic hub. The space was built with four key goals in mind: Create an Office of the Future that invigorates our people; to be environmentally responsible in the way we do business by pursuing Net Zero Energy, LEED certification and the WELL Building standard; to make smart, data-driven decisions; and to create a living laboratory that can showcase technologies, products and systems.
The DPR family of companies is closing the gap between design and construction with an integrated collection of products and services to build smarter, move faster and achieve strong results. We share a commitment to growth, innovation and building great things—great teams, great careers and great projects that change the world.

Be part of a community that prioritizes respect, belonging, idea exchange and celebration.
