Home to DPR Construction’s Austin office, The Foundry is a mixed-use development located on the city’s East Side. DPR served as general contractor for the ground-up project, which includes a 77,403-sq.-ft., three-story Class A office building and a 100,590-sq.-ft. parking garage with three levels below grade. DPR self-performed key scopes, including concrete, painting, Division 7, Division 10 and electrical work in partnership with EIG, one of DPR’s family of companies.
DPR’s role extended beyond construction. In partnership with Cielo Property Group, DPR aligned early as both builder and anchor tenant, establishing a shared vision that informed the building’s development from the outset. The result is a workplace that reflects DPR’s culture while supporting the growth of its Austin team and the well-being of its people.

A Workplace Designed for People
DPR’s Austin office also became the city’s first WELL™-certified project, reinforcing a people-first approach to the built environment. WELL™ strategies emphasize indoor air quality, access to daylight, thermal comfort and flexible design—supporting occupant well-being throughout the space.
Occupying 59,331-sq.-ft. on the third floor, the office features an open, adaptable layout with a range of work settings, including conference rooms, huddle spaces, focus pods and informal collaboration areas. A central kitchen and signature DPR wine bar serve as social gathering areas, encouraging connection and community. Abundant natural light and adjustable lighting contribute to occupant comfort.
The Foundry also achieved LEED® Gold Certification, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainable design, energy efficiency and responsible material use.
Reflecting Craft and Innovation
Architecturally, The Foundry draws from East Austin’s industrial character, incorporating cast-in-place concrete, masonry façades and bell-capital columns. Outdoor landscaping and amenity spaces extend the workplace beyond the building, supporting connection to the surrounding neighborhood.
Inside, exposed structural and building systems highlight the craftsmanship behind the project and demonstrate DPR’s technical expertise. Integrated building systems and infrastructure support efficient operations and collaboration within a modern work environment.
