Dell EMC Fowler Building Tenant Improvement | Charlotte, North Carolina

Acting in the role of design-builder for this project, DPR completed this tenant improvement as part of the EMC National Next Generation Office program. Located in the historic Fowler building in the South End area of Charlotte, the project included renovations including open office spaces, conference rooms, video conference spaces, a mother’s lounge, executive offices, and an employee break room.

The two-floor, 9,140-sq.-ft. renovation was completed on time and on budget despite the various challenges posed by the existing historic building. Some of the challenges included the coordination of long-lead LED fixtures, low headroom (less than seven feet) in various areas, and coordination with the owner’s various national suppliers and vendors.
