DPR completed this lab and office renovation project for first-time client, Conagen, Inc., who develops products for the food, fragrance, nutrition, and biopharma markets. The tenant improvement scope included the DPR team converting an existing warehouse space and building out open and closed office spaces, new kitchen, large conference room with partition, and open lab space with new cold room and parts washing room. Additional improvement included all new MEP systems with a new electrical service and switchgear.

Details
On the exterior, a full roof replacement was completed along with adding new air handling units needed to support the new lab and office spaces inside. DPR took full advantage of our SPW capabilities to perform some additional demo work, place and finish a new loading dock slab, and GC support related project tasks.

Solving
There were several challenges on this project such as lead times of products, existing conditions, and the local power authority. DPR worked diligently with the client, OPM, and design team to problem solve and overcome these obstacles to deliver the project on time and under budget.
