Laser Scanning and Heat Mapping

In preparation for the buildout in an existing, aged facility, DPR utilized a Riegl VZ-40i Laser Scanner performed by DPR’s Field Technology Group and completed 42 scans of the existing space to identify discrepancies in the floor. This allowed our team to implement predictable results in quality control when it came time to turn over the space, providing the client with optimal floor flatness for safety and aesthetics. This also provided upfront cost and schedule savings in the identification of imperfections to correct in the model before starting construction on site. Additionally, we were able to capture the entire space to validate existing dimensions of the space and overhead HVAC, plumbing, and electrical conduits. This allowed for easier coordination while being able to prefabricate new systems, thus allowing our trade partners to be more efficient and create a safer working environment.

We think you'll like this, too.
