Details

During the project, App State University relied on DPR's experience as a sports facility builder and brought lessons learned from other NCAA programs. In preconstruction, the team came up with over 72 alternates to ensure ASU got the program they wanted in their budget. The team also achieved the MWBE participation goals through outreach, advertisements, and a robust supplier diversity approach.

Due to the level of finishes and complexity of the skin system, including stone, brick, insulated metal panels, glass reinforced concrete, and curtainwall, DPR utilized our Distinguishing Features of Work approach for the coordination and attention to detail required to achieve the desired appearance and functionality of the building. For thorough constructability review, the team project team utilized full scale mock ups of the exterior skin system and laser scanning of work put in place.
