The project scope included a 12,000-sq.-ft. of ground-floor retail, a rooftop deck, communal work-space and meeting areas, a fitness center, showers, and a tree-lined linear park. The building has bike share and bike storage, as well as access to major transportation. The exterior brick skin is mindful of the historic character of the Tampa Heights neighborhood. The interior has exposed structural elements, high ceilings, and large industrial windows.
Due to the small amount of lay down space on the project site, careful coordination was required for trade partner material and equipment deliveries. DPR and our trade partners utilized a project specific web-based delivery schedule to maximize the efficiency of deliveries. This schedule allowed each trade to schedule deliveries in advance without any overlap to maximize lay down space and maintain a safe work environment.
DPR utilized innovative technology at the Tampa Heights Union Office Buildings such as Laser Scanning, BIM, 100% Digital Plans, and VueOps Closeout Documentation.
This is the first new office space in downtown Tampa since 1994.
