This modern 296,189-sq.-ft. apartment complex consists of eight stories above grade, including 208 residential units and ground floor retail space, over three floors of below grade parking totaling 94,896 sq. ft. The building features an entertainment suite, business center, on-site leasing office, fitness area and outdoor courtyard.
The team was faced with extremely difficult site logistics due to neighboring construction and the urban location. The site is bordered by Interstate 5 to the north, Highway 163 running east and west of the building, and State Route 94 to the south. In addition, the city did not permit closure of traffic lanes around the building. Despite these challenges, DPR completed the project ahead of schedule. The project also received a Gold Nugget Award for Outstanding High-Rise Apartment, and the San Diego International Chapter American Concrete Institute Residential High-Rise Award.
