Edwards Lifesciences Office & Cafeteria Building | Irvine, CA

The Edwards Lifesciences project consisted of a ground-up, 4-story, 107,000-sq.-ft. structural steel office building, cafeteria, and employee dining facility, replacing the existing life sciences building. The project included associated modifications and improvements to surrounding hardscape and landscape areas, which required preparatory work at the adjacent life sciences building.

The core and shell corporate office had an aggressive 15-month schedule to allow time for tenant improvement build-out to achieve the occupancy date required by Edwards. Steel erection, decking, and self-perform concrete work helped DPR stay on track for slab on grade and decks. Detailed schedule meetings pull planning and production flow discussions helped achieve the schedule milestones and adapt to changes that came about throughout construction.
