DPR Construction, Inc. Building Great Projects in Pacific Northwest

With more than $75 million worth of projects in the Puget Sound region, DPR Construction, Inc., one of the nation's leading general contractors and construction managers, announces the recent award of a new ground-up, 33,000-sq.-ft. medical office building (MOB) for Rainier Orthopedic Institute in Puyallup, Wash. The new two-story MOB, designed by Taylor Gregory Architects and scheduled to break ground early 2003, will house four suites, including a 10,534-sq.-ft. Ambulatory Surgery, 3,525-sq.-ft. Physical Therapy, 12,939-sq.-ft. Clinic, and 2,206-sq.-ft. MRI/Imaging Center.

DPR also recently began construction on the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, Wash. for Clear Channel Entertainment and the Muckelshoot Indian Tribe. Designed by Heller Manus Architects, as an open air pavilion with capacity for 20,000 people, the amphitheater will consist of 10,000 seats, a bermed lawn area for open seating, cafes, luxury boxes, backstage areas and headliner dressing rooms. The 98-acre site will also include approximately 6,000 surface parking spaces, as well as access roads, surface water infrastructure systems and extensive wetland mitigation. With an anticipated completion in time for a 2003 summer season, the White River Amphitheater will become Western Washingtons largest outdoor concert venue.
