Gretchen Kinsella brings expertise in risk management, operations, people development and work acquisition to her role as Southwest Self-Perform Work (SPW) Leader. Gretchen helps DPR’s SPW teams in San Diego, SoCal and Arizona deliver value, meeting customers’ needs for high-quality work that is completed quickly. She served as the Arizona Business Unit Leader before rising to the challenge of her current role.

Upon joining DPR as an intern in 2001, Gretchen found herself assigned to a project that didn’t offer the challenges she was looking for. So, she asked for more—more challenges, responsibilities and problems to solve. She wanted to build great things and went on to become the youngest project executive in Phoenix. Gretchen served as a key player in a variety of core markets, notably healthcare, where she delivered acute care and medical office facilities totaling $918M.

Gretchen is proud to be a part of DPR and passionate about the people who build great things. She continues to speak up when she notices opportunities for improvement, using her voice to ensure all employees are safe and successful. Being the voice for what builders need is important to her. She is recognized as a leader not only within DPR, but also across the industry. Gretchen shared her story as the keynote speaker at ENR’s Groundbreaking Women in Construction conference in 2017 and continues to serve as a role model for women who build.

Gretchen has two children and enjoys spending time with her family and working out. She playfully describes herself and her husband as “big real estate nerds” who remodel homes as a hobby because they love design and construction.
