The Village at Northstar, located just north of Lake Tahoe, is one of the premier ski and recreational resorts in the West.
About the Project
This mountain hospitality project, just steps from the gondola, features seven buildings comprised of ski-in/ski-out residential units (studio through four-bedroom) and a host of amenities, including restaurants, an ice skating rink, retail space, a skier valet service area, and underground parking.
Ingenuity in Action Mountain Luxury
The first resort village to achieve LEED certification, The Village at Northstar is the first resort village to achieve LEED® certification, more than 130 conditions were satisfied to protect water quality and other natural resources. Additionally, more than half of the construction waste was diverted to recycling centers.
The Little Details
- Heavy snowfall and limited access made material storage and staging a challenge.
- The team worked safely next to an operational ski resort in winter and a mountain bike park in the summer.
