Emergency Department Expansion

STRHS Pulaski ED Expansion | Pulaski, Tennessee

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Pulaski has announced its first big capital expansion project in 20 years. To advance its mission of making communities healthier and expanding access to critical healthcare services, the project involves the demolition of an existing hospital wing and the construction of a new addition at the front entrance of the hospital, all while keeping the hospital fully operational.

About the Project

This 9,940 sq.-ft. expansion includes a new emergency department (ED) at the facility entrance to improve access and visibility. The expanded ED includes 12 exam rooms, a major trauma room and two low-acuity bays, as well as shell space for a future exam room and X-ray suite, and new mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire life-safety systems installed throughout. Site improvements will result in a dedicated ambulance drive and a covered patient drop-off, ensuring safe, efficient access for patients and staff.
