The Georgia State University Science Park Phase II project includes the interior build-out of the remaining three floors of the existing building. Construction also included a pedestrian bridge, with self-dimming View Dynamic Glass, connecting the building to the existing Petit Science Center. Two of the floors consist of open research laboratories with support spaces, offices and a conference room.

Upgrades

The remaining floor is clean rooms and labs with sections rated for BSL 1, 2 and 3 work, a bulk sterilizer, cage and rack washer and tunnel washer. Mechanical upgrades to the facility consist of an additional chiller, cooling tower, make up air units, exhaust fans and an energy recovery system. Associated electrical upgrades and integration into the existing building controls system were also included.
