The Carpenter Hotel is a ground-up, four-story 93-key boutique hotel and 6,000-sq.-ft. renovation in the heart of Austin, Texas. The project features a bar, café with a commercial kitchen, reception area, and coffee shop. The hotel is located near South Lamar and Barton Springs Road and features a new 1,000-sq.-ft. outdoor pavilion, pool, extensive landscaping, and on-site parking.

Constraints
The DPR project team overcame a few interesting challenges during construction, including working on a congested site with minimal laydown area, once all of the piers were completed for the hotel and managing the installation of a 250,000-gallon underground cistern (installed between piers with only about 20 parking spaces of extra room).
To deliver this hotel within its schedule and provide outstanding quality to our customer, DPR self-performed the concrete, drywall, millwork, specialties, electrical, waterproofing and caulking.
