DPR Construction, Inc. Heads South, Opens New Atlanta Office

DPR Construction, Inc., a global commercial contractor and construction manager, has recently announced the opening of its new Atlanta office, bringing its proactive and progressive approach to the Southeast. Taking the expertise of a global company, with diverse market experience, and combining it with some of the best construction talent in Atlanta, DPR has been awarded a number of projects, including a 100,000-sq.-ft. tenant improvement project in the Millennium Building for PricewaterhouseCoopers, a renovation project for global aviation services giant, Mercury Air at the Peachtree Dekalb Airport, and two projects for Kaiser Permanente.

"The Southeast is a relationship-driven market, and DPR is a relationship-driven company," said Steve Bartkowski, former Atlanta Falcon's quarterback and member of DPR's regional leadership team. "Our team's existing networks, with national and regional clients, architects and developers, have already led to a number of projects with the opportunity for many more."

A primary example is DPR's recent award of a three-story tenant improvement for PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of several projects, DPR has completed or is currently working on for the firm in cities across the nation. Currently under construction, the new five-month office project, designed by ASD, is scheduled for a July completion.

Bartkowski attributes the company's early achievements to the team of Georgians who have strong ties to the Southeast and extensive construction experience. Rounding out the DPR Atlanta team is Scott Reay, regional manager and eight-year veteran of DPR, Todd Armistead, Alan Beckley, John Cheek, Betty Dingess, Christy Pinson, Jack Poindexter and Mark Qualman. Together, they offer more than 50 years of experience in the Southeast, working closely with such clients as Chateau Elan, Emory University, Georgia Tech, Augusta Riverfront Complex, West Paces Ferry Hospital, Crawford Long Hospital, The Omni Complex, Trammell Crow, Crescent Resources and Wakefield Beasley.

"DPR's growth into new regions and markets has always been driven by two main factors, our customers and our entrepreneurial spirit. Our move into the Southeast represents DPR's commitment to creating value for our customers and our dedication to the continued advancement and support of employees by creating new opportunities within the company," said Reay.

A local builder with global capabilities, DPR Construction, Inc., has been "building great things" since 1990.
