FEATURED PAST EVENT

Where is the world of life sciences manufacturing heading? A round table of experts attempted to answer that question in an event called “Confront Tomorrow’s Challenges Today.”

Held in February in Carmel, CA, DPR’s Michael Marston spoke on deploying innovative construction technologies to build “manufacturing of the future” facilities.

Some takeaways from the event:

Lowering capital expenditures for new facilities and speed to market are just two factors that drive the deployment of new facilities.

Additional challenges include sizing of projects, flexible manufacturing, variable patient needs and redundancy.

Lean practices, modularization and the needs of the global/local patient communities are important considerations for life sciences owners.
