Building Great Things in the Southeast

DPR’s Atlanta Operation Moves to New Office, Successfully Delivers Several Major Projects

Over the last year, DPR’s Atlanta office has nearly doubled in size, adding some 14 individuals to its now 30-plus-person operation, which has been building great things in the Southeast, including:

  • A new 7,500-sq.-ft. office to accommodate present and future growth. Designed by Gensler, the new office, located in the 400 Plaza Building, features an open environment and wine bar—signatures of DPR’s offices across the country. The space also includes boat sails used as wall dividers and colorful walls decorated with DPR’s core values (integrity, enjoyment, uniqueness, ever forward) and mission statement.
  • Several projects for national customers, such as Trammell Crow, PricewaterhouseCoopers, MMR Holdings, Level (3) Communications and the Tampa Art Institute. DPR also recently completed a 12,000-sq.-ft. expansion for Wellstar Douglas County Hospital, which consisted of new MRI, CT scan and nuclear medicine spaces, conversion of private patient rooms to semi-private rooms to allow for additional beds, and the upgrade of an existing detention pond as part of the hospital’s master plan. Also located in Douglasville, GA is DPR Atlanta’s largest project to date, a 984,000-sq.-ft., three-building distribution warehouse facility for Catellus Development. Designed by Alliance Architects, the ground-up project will house APL Logistics, a global provider of supply-chain management services.
  • Delivery of eight projects with zero defects, one of DPR’s six Critical Success Factors (preconstruction excellence, safety, scheduling, change management, closeout and zero defects—all areas that the company considers critical to a project’s success).

“Atlanta is a relationship-driven market, and we’re excited to be attracting local talent and providing quality service to customers,” said Andy Andres of DPR. “The accomplishments over the past year have provided a solid foundation for building our presence in the Southeast.”
