For Bryan Lofton, the great thing about construction is its changeability; it’s about collaborating, adapting and problem-solving with others every day. In his role as Central SPW Co-Leader, he is responsible for the strategy, execution and performance of DPR’s SPW scopes across the region. His focus spans on securing new work, delivering projects safely and predictably, developing people, and continuously strengthening how the business operates.
Based in Austin, Texas, Bryan leverages more than a decade of experience with DPR, having joined the company in 2012 following DPR’s acquisition of Hardin. He began his career in construction after earning an engineering degree from the University of Texas, starting out as a field engineer and surveyor before progressing through superintendent and project management roles. Those early field experiences shaped his leadership style and gave him a deep appreciation for the people doing the work and the complexity of building at every level.
What Bryan values most about DPR is the company’s authentic, approachable culture. He believes strong leadership starts with being real, listening well, and creating environments where people feel supported to learn, take ownership, and grow. Known for his steady presence and calm approach during challenging moments, Bryan helps teams navigate complexity with clarity, optimism, and accountability.
Bryan is energized by working alongside people who care deeply about what they do and how they do it. While he enjoys the tangible outcome of building, he is most motivated by helping teams solve problems together and supporting others in developing careers they are proud of.
Outside of work, Bryan enjoys discovering great coffee and cocktails, reading, traveling, and staying active through weightlifting. His favorite place to recharge is Tuscany, where he appreciates the food, pace, and sense of connection.
