DPR Construction is seeking a Tax Accountant with 1+ years of tax experience and wants to be a part of a great team. The position will be based out of our Sacramento office. 


In this position you'll work with our Tax Managers to ensure that all tax requirements are met. You'll have opportunities to work on the following:

  • Preparation and review of sales/use tax returns

  • Tax Research – ability to perform complex tax research is important. Corporate tax matters, sales and use tax, international and payroll tax research

  • Internal Sales tax audits for DPR projects

  • Preparation of the federal and state tax returns for C-Corporations and pass-through entities (Partnerships, LLC). Including the unique computations applicable to the construction industry. 

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for delivering a quality work product
• Excellent listening skills and strong oral and written communication skills
• The ability to identify, analyze and resolve complex issues
• The ability to work under the direction of our Tax Managers, work with the Tax Team, as well as the ability to work independently
• Experience preparing federal and multiple state tax returns for C Corporations and pass-through entities
• Experience with C Corporation, and Partnerships tax rules and regulations
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Experience with OneSource and internet tax research services
• 1+ years of full-time tax experience in either a CPA firm or industry
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Masters Degree in Tax
• Construction industry experience is desirable, but not required
• A strong work ethic, a "can-do anything" attitude, and a desire to grow
• A good work-life balance

• CPA a plus
