48X Ambulatory Complex
Owner: UC Davis Health
Location: Sacramento, CA
Completion Date: Late 2025
Designer: SmithGroup
The 48X Ambulatory Complex with customer UC Davis Health will bring much needed ambulatory operating services to the campus’s main hospital and the larger Sacramento area. The four-story, 268,000-sq.-ft. complex 48X Complex will support a preliminary program of 14 operating rooms, 59 pre- and post-operative recovery bays, 14 single-occupant 23-hour recovery rooms, 96 clinical exam rooms, and 19 clinical treatment rooms.

Abilene Data Center
Owner: Crusoe Energy
Location: Abilene, TX
Completion Date: Fall 2025
Designer: HKS, Inc.
Breaking ground in summer 2024, the lightning-fast schedule and multi-building campus layout is a build-to-suit, two-building data center constructed to industry leading efficiency and reliability standards, and capable of supporting high energy density IT applications. The design is optimized for direct-to-chip liquid cooling and will also accommodate air cooling. At completion, the data center will be able to operate up to 100,000 GPUs on a single integrated network fabric.
Each building includes one central utility hall, 3MW of IT loading, four data halls capable of handling 500 racks, 35,000 sq. ft. of white space, and 25MW of IT load per data hall (four per building). The project also includes a 340MW natural gas turbine power plant, which will serve as back-up power for the data center when it energizes in 2025.
The data center features the first insulated metal panels designed by GPLA and prefabricated offsite by DPR’s self-perform work crews and installed by Digital Building Components.
