Entryway to Research and Innovation

Bio+Tech 8 Lobby Renovation | Managed by Wexford Science & Technology, LLC | Richmond, Virginia

The DPR team renovated the lobby and elevator banks across four floors of the Bio+Tech 8 building in Richmond, VA. Our early strategic involvement during the preconstruction phase allowed us to effectively engage all stakeholders, align processes, refine budget expectations, and provide real-time constructability insights.

THE CORRIDOR Where Science Meets Style

This project marked DPR’s first project on the Bio+Tech Park, beginning with a thorough demolition of the Bio+Tech 8 lobby space. The team prioritized the preservation of adjacent floors and structures throughout the process, which included the removal of ceilings, partitions, flooring finishes, a two-story slide, and the reconfiguration of storefronts. Following demolition, DPR’s focus shifted to the renovation, emphasizing innovative design elements put in place by the client. DPR’s drywall and finishing abilities aided in the success of this project while also utilizing OES, one of DPR’s Family of Companies.

The insights garnered from our Special Services Group (SSG) during the renovation positioned us to meet clients' evolving requests in Richmond’s dynamic life science market.
