AdventHealth Castle Rock Hospital

AdventHealth Castle Rock Hospital | Castle Rock, Colorado

The first hospital serving the Castle Rock area, our team completed the hospital in two phases, with a third phase providing a medical office building on the campus.

About the Project

The first phase of the project involved building a 24/7 emergency, imaging, and radiology center that included eleven treatment rooms, a triage area, a waiting room, MRI, CT, and ultrasound imaging, and associated administration and support spaces.

In the second phase, our project team constructed a 253,000-sq.-ft., full-service, acute care hospital with inpatient surgery, obstetrics, intensive care, clinic care facilities, and a full-service kitchen and café on a 40-acre site. State-of-the-art energy conservation measures such as LED lighting, high-efficiency mechanical equipment, and superior building envelope insulation and air barriers were incorporated into the construction of the medical facility for long-term sustainability.

Based on our excellent performance, we were asked to build a third phase of the project – a 61,800-sq.-ft. Medical Office Building (MOB). As this project took place concurrently with the hospital project, we demonstrated our resource capacity to take on additional scope for our client. The MOB project was completed just two months after the hospital received a certificate of occupancy to support the operations of the medical campus.

Ingenuity in Action Signature Campus Design & Service

Working with the design team and local planning and building authorities during the schematic design phase, our team devised a phased procurement schedule to accelerate site and building construction completion.

  • Substantial completion was achieved four days ahead of schedule and three months ahead of the client's original schedule.

The Little Details

  • State-of-the-art energy conservation measures include LED lighting throughout, high efficiency mechanical equipment, a super-insulating exterior envelope and roof systems, and the ability to incorporate on-site renewable energy in the future.
  • Incorporating a contemporary mountain theme, our project team assisted the design architect with material selection that met these aesthetic requirements while also meeting the long-term lifespan and low maintenance cost goals of the facilities team.
