Every entrepreneur dreams of growing a successful business.
When Doug Woods, Peter Nosler and Ron Davidowski founded DPR in 1990, they dreamt of becoming a truly great construction company by the year 2000. This dream resulted in building a people-first organization, expanding into new technical markets, and working with collaborative customers.
As we celebrate 35 years and reflect on our purpose and values-driven progress, our focus remains on:
Taking care of people
Every milestone we achieve on our journey has been in the service of our employees and their families, our customers, our partners, and our communities. The exciting, award-winning projects and recognition are outcomes of the trust, collaboration and meaningful relationships we have built over time through shared experiences and respect for the individual.
DPR’s success and growth have been rooted in creating greater value for those we serve over the long term and building raving fans internally and externally. Moving forward, we strive to remain in great company, surrounded by people who challenge, inspire, and support one another every day. We want to continue to build an organization and an industry where everyone belongs and can be their very best.
Breaking new ground
From pioneering project delivery methods to investing in new technology and workforce development, we learned early on that to foster true innovation we have to empower every team member. Groundbreaking ideas can come from anyone and anywhere.
Innovation is not a team of people, departments or functions; it’s a mindset. To deliver exceptional projects and increase predictable outcomes, we must continue to redefine what’s possible in construction through our commitment to environmental health and safety, planning and scheduling, building healthy teams, quality work and strong financial management. Our customers and their end users, and our communities, are counting on us.
Staying true to our core
We believe that our culture is our ultimate competitive advantage. Our strong sense of purpose, core values, missions, and strategies have proven to inspire and attract people to DPR.
Maintaining our identity and point of view means being clear and intentional about what we stand for as an organization and making our enduring beliefs visible in our actions. Growth, however, has a way of testing our resolve. As we look to the future, we must continue to build with purpose, innovate with intention, and partner with our customers and teammates in shaping a better and healthier world.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We hope this issue of Great Things informs, inspires, and reinforces the value of the company we keep and how we are making a lasting impact.
Here’s to the next 35 years—building the future together.
Ever Forward,
Celebrating 35 years in great
company
Through decades of innovation and strategic growth, DPR Construction has remained committed to the purpose established by our founders—to build great things for customers, employees, partners and communities.
