The 62,500-sq.-ft., three-story residential facility houses 200 students. The housing includes two residential wings, each in keeping with existing campus residence halls in their scale and articulation. Each residential unit is two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a common area that includes a small kitchenette. The study rooms offer students a quiet place to sit individually or in small groups at the ends of each corridor with dramatic views of the surrounding landscape. The third floor features a common room with a vaulted ceiling, providing a place for a large number of students to gather for meetings or recreation.
The extensive pre-construction phase produced a total savings of $1.3 million, which consisted of mostly structural revisions and interior finishes.
The Enotah Residence Hall is LEED Silver Certified, making it the first higher education facility in Georgia north of the Atlanta area to achieve this level of certification.
