First-of-its-Kind Tennis Facility
USTA National Campus | Orlando, Florida
Situated on 65 acres in Lake Nona, Orlando, FL, the state-of-the-art United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus consists of 260,000-sq.-ft. of vertical construction across eight buildings, 100 tennis courts, and an entry road for the Department of Transportation.
The facility features an area for tournaments and league play, the University of Central Florida’s Men’s and Women’s varsity tennis program facility, a Team USA area, a high-performance, and player development area, courts for youth and adult recreational tennis, and a new corporate office for USTA. The corporate office facility includes a ground-level tennis pro shop, a fitness area, locker rooms, a testing lab, a player lounge and cafeteria, and USTA offices on the second and third floors.
“The USTA facility in Lake Nona was one of those once in a career type of projects; something everyone involved with will remember for a long time. We attracted not only a first-class team of contractors and consultants, but those firms put their best and brightest onto the challenge as well. DPR did an excellent job of coordinating the subcontractors and maintaining a total team approach in working with the consultants, developer, and the USTA organization.”
