The Ross data center is a design/build project which is approximately a 30,000-sq.-ft. single story greenfield building located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It is designed as a hardened Seismic Zone D steel and precast structure with approximately 12,000 sq. ft. of data hall, administrative and back of house MEP support areas within a highly secured MEP designed Tier III unclassified facility. The facility will be comprised of four data hall quadrants, two of which will be built-out day one. The 2MW ultimate IT critical load will be distributed in a 2N utility, generator to UPS topology.
In order to achieve the agressive seven month schedule, the DPR team:
- Preplanned purchases of long lead items and subcontractor buy-in
- Coordinated construction through BIM
- Drove decisions and over communicated to the end users to insure design and construction integrity was achieved
- Supported Owner move-in dates to streamline the Owner installation of equipment and material
