Ent Credit Union Headquarters

Ent Credit Union Headquarters | Colorado Springs, Colorado

Completed as GE Johnson Construction Company

This five-story headquarters building and four-story parking garage is home to Colorado’s largest credit union.

About The Project

The new Ent Credit Union Headquarters features a two-level cafeteria that faces Pikes Peak, a fitness center with cardio and weightlifting machines, spinning cycles and a yoga studio, eight training rooms, workstations that can be raised and lowered for working while standing or sitting, rooms for employees to make private phone calls, and several other amenities. The campus is also home to a parking structure with 830 parking spots.

Construction included significant site infrastructure improvements and a new headquarters focused on employee retention. This area of Colorado Springs is undergoing significant growth and construction, requiring coordination with deliveries and safe access for nearby and adjacent businesses.

Ingenuity in Action Modern Colorado Springs Office Space

GE Johnson created an in-house interim grading plan that was used by the land-selling developer to provide a pad-ready site through their over lot process. This eliminated duplicate work for earthworks.

The project team had a goal of reducing costs by eliminating multi-sizing of the architectural wall system, which can be costly. During schematic design, a plan was formulated with the precast engineer to minimize camber in precast tees. This enabled flat, elevated slabs and cost reduction that the team was seeking.

Six months of planning and coordination enabled Ent Credit Union to simultaneously operate and transfer their data center operations from the former headquarters building to the new one during construction. Pre-planning with the Colorado Springs Fire Department also allowed for 80% of office furniture to be installed prior to receiving TCO.
