Session Learning Objectives:
1. Discover a methodology to identify aged buildings that lend themselves to reuse and simultaneously achieve LEED, Zero Energy, and health & well-being goals.
2. Understand the challenges and opportunities of transforming the existing building stock into zero energy living laboratories, in varied climates & contexts.
3. Explore the lessons learned from a body of high-performance buildings and how these lessons have influenced our approach to future work.
4. Discuss the hurdles that we experience in pursuing Zero Energy buildings & adaptive re-use, and collectively brainstorm on proven strategies to overcome these hurdles.
