Building great things extends beyond structures and teams—it’s also about shaping strong communities, fostering innovation and leading with purpose to create a more sustainable future. In its second annual report, DPR highlights progress across all four Global Social Responsibility (GSR) pillars as the company continues to build stronger teams and make strategic investments that drive long-term impact and reinforce its role as an integral and indispensable partner in the built environment.

The Journey Continues

“Creating meaningful progress takes time, hard work, and thousands of small actions every day. We’re holding ourselves accountable by setting clear goals, tracking progress, and being transparent about our efforts,” said George Pfeffer, a member of DPR’s Leadership Team.

The report reflects how DPR is making progress toward its mission of becoming one of the most admired companies. Looking ahead, the report shares year-over-year progress made and also celebrates accomplishments that teams have made in 2024.

People Pillar: Building Belonging

DPR is a people-first organization committed to fostering an inclusive culture where employees can grow and thrive. In addition to advancing workforce development and benefits, DPR is building a culture where more voices shape how the company operates and evolves. Monthly internal webinars—Pillar Talks—bring teammates together for open conversations on inclusion, community, sustainability and belonging.

To further support this culture DPR has formalized six Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), each with dedicated leadership teams and executive sponsors, reflecting the diverse interests and identities of DPR’s workforce. In the field, the company also saw a notable increase in the number of women in craft roles, signaling progress in visibility and support for these critical positions.

Partners Pillar: Expanding Access

Strong projects depend on strong partnerships. In 2024, DPR exceeded its small business goals by engaging early, scoping projects for greater access, and working side by side with local trade partners. As one example, in Tampa, more than 50 certified firms contributed to a major civic project, creating jobs and expanding opportunity in the region. These outcomes reflect the impact of building inclusion into how construction projects are planned, not just how they’re delivered.

Planet Pillar: A Regenerative Future

DPR’s Path to Regeneration continues to guide how the company reduces its environmental impact and improve building performance. DPR earned top recognition in carbon tracking from the Contractor’s Commitment and improved its EcoVadis score by 20%. In 2024, DPR tracked more than 6,300 tons of construction waste diverted from landfills. These results reflect how the company is turning strategy into real, measurable change.

Sustainability is woven into decisions DPR makes, from the way it operates and builds to how it influences the construction industry as a whole.

Philanthropy Pillar: Building Communities

To date, DPR has built lasting relationships with more than 250 nonprofits through mentoring, skilled volunteerism and facilities support. In 2024, teams contributed more than $3.4 million in donations, resources and services. DPR’s BuildUp high school internship program also expanded, creating opportunities for future builders. These efforts are grounded in trust and driven by what each community needs to grow stronger.
