Zach Pannier
- Role: Charlotte-Greenville Business Unit Leader
- Location: Charlotte, NC
- Education: The University of Texas at Austin
- Year started at DPR: 2002
Zach Pannier thrives on the variety and unpredictability of his work. As DPR’s Charlotte-Greenville Business Unit Leader, no two days look the same—whether he’s on site with craft, collaborating with project leadership, or engaging with executive partners. What ties it all together is his focus on securing the right work, delivering it with excellence, and ensuring people are supported so the business can succeed for the long term.
His curiosity for how things work and passion for building shaped his path early on. In college, he pursued architectural engineering, which led to a career in construction management and ultimately to DPR. Since joining the company in 2001, his work has spanned Texas, Southern California, and the Carolinas.
Strong execution and caring for people go hand-in-hand in how Zach leads. He is motivated by both the human side of the business and the tangible results of a team’s efforts. Zach values building spaces where people heal, where new technologies emerge, and where customers advance treatments and solutions that change lives. For him, the connection between people, purpose, and outcomes is what sustains the work over time.
Outside of work, Zach’s life revolves around family. He enjoys golfing, camping, traveling, and spending time in the mountains, but most days are dedicated to cheering on his three kids at sporting events and school activities with his wife.

- Word to the Wise (Advice): I’ve lived in many places across the country with my formative years in Wisconsin. You cannot grow up in Packer country without idolizing Vince Lombardi as a young boy. As I’ve grown older and taken my own leadership journey, I’ve identified with him in a deeper more meaningful way. Vince was all about winning but chose to invest his time and energy in starting with the heart first, to truly understand those that he was leading. Once you understand someone’s heart, you can lead them anywhere.
