Shawn Pepple

Shawn Pepple brings a steady, solutions-oriented approach to his work, grounded in collaboration and follow-through—even in the face of challenges. As Business Unit Leader for DPR’s Raleigh-Durham operations, he focuses on client development, project execution and talent growth. Shawn works closely with teams across the company, including craft and field, preconstruction, prefab and executive leadership, helping drive efforts that benefit both clients and internal teams.

An early interest in mechanical engineering and a goal of designing cars initially shaped Shawn’s academic path. That direction shifted after a freshman seminar introduced him to architectural engineering and construction management—a field that offered a blend of technical problem-solving and hands-on experience. This foundation continues to influence how he approaches his work today.

Shawn is energized by the way ideas come to life through collaboration and practical execution. He enjoys working through complex problems and delivering projects that serve a real purpose. For Shawn, the most rewarding aspect of the work is being part of teams that create spaces supporting critical needs in the community. He also places a strong emphasis on building relationships and creating an environment where people feel supported and encouraged to do their best.

Outside of work, Shawn spends time with his wife and two young children and looks forward to an annual snowmobiling trip in Michigan, Maine or Canada.
