Scott Miller leads with genuine care for people and pride in the work they do. He is intentional about building personal connections, making it a point to learn something meaningful about as many employees as possible. His steady, people-centered leadership fosters trust, engagement and a strong sense of community. In his role as Business Unit Leader for the Mountain States, Scott supports DPR’s operations in Colorado and Wyoming. His work touches all aspects of the business in the region, including strategic planning, sales, operations and ensuring teams have what they need to be successful. One of the things he enjoys most is the opportunity to collaborate with people across the company.
Scott’s journey into construction has been a combination of fate and passion. His engineering background and early hands-on experience as a laborer gave him a unique perspective that fueled his long-term interest in the field. He was previously with GE Johnson Construction Company, now part of DPR, where he served in a similar leadership capacity and developed a deep connection to supporting others in their growth.
Scott’s focus on people continues to shape his daily approach, driven by a belief in the potential of those around him. The opportunity to contribute to something extraordinary each day keeps the work energizing. His broad experience allows him to mentor others and collaborate strategically on project leadership, fostering a culture of development and continuous improvement within his team. For Scott, contributing to great outcomes while watching individuals gain confidence and take on more than they thought possible, makes each challenge worth it.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys attending his daughters’ sporting events, playing golf and supporting Kansas State University and the Denver Broncos.
