Matthew Thrower

Matthew Thrower strives to be a selfless leader by listening, showing up fully every day and focusing on making others better. As the Arizona Business Unit Leader, he works to provide consistent and impactful environments to support people in their career growth journeys. He additionally oversees talent development, strategic management, succession planning, and people support.

After serving concurrently with the Army National Guard and working in civilian roles, Matthew gained experience with several construction industry companies in safety and operations before joining DPR. That experience allowed him to gain exposure across many aspects of the industry and shaped his long-term interest in construction.

Matthew joined DPR, inspired by its mission and strong commitment to people, in 2018. He is energized by helping people excel at their jobs and strives to model the care, commitment and competence he expects from others. One of his proudest moments was being part of the team that delivered the Banner Tucson Medical Center, a project that plays an essential role in supporting the health of the local community.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
