David Ibarra

David Ibarra thrives on creating new opportunities and anticipating what’s next. As Strategic Initiatives Leader, he brings a mindset of strategic productivity, focused on sustaining momentum and maximizing the value delivered to customers.

He currently supports DPR’s largest AI data center program and partners with internal technology teams to shape how artificial intelligence is integrated across the business. David also works across national and international teams to advance delivery strategy, strengthen customer partnerships and scale programmatic solutions.

Originally trained as an engineer, he was pulled toward construction management through a series of diverse project assignments. He built semiconductor fabs before moving into the data center market in the early 2000s. Over the years he has served as a Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) coordinator, project manager and co-leader of the Advanced Technology Core Market. He helped launch DPR’s first prefabricated electrical-room initiative and led the company’s first international projects in Finland and Sweden before helping establish broader operations overseas.

David draws inspiration from DPR’s culture of technical rigor and resourcefulness, where learning happens in real time and failure is never feared. He values the chance to shape strategy while staying close to teams doing the work, helping them navigate complexity and push the industry forward.

Outside of work David enjoys listening to hi-fi audio gear, walking the family dogs and traveling with his family.
