The Scheduling (PSPP) Data Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of standards and consistency within our PSPP processes ensuring data integrity, and identification of key integration touchpoints with other business processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • With guidance from the Data Leadership Team, own the end-to-end data analytics process from initiation to deployment, and through ongoing communication and collaboration, sharing of results to partners and leadership.
  • With guidance from the Data Leadership Team and PSPP leadership, oversee the national PSPP Data Strategy development and implementation; manage data analytics initiatives in line with the strategy.
  • In collaboration with PSPP leadership, define the key insights and metrics which the business needs to address, and develop appropriate business intelligence datasets, analytics, dashboards or methods.
  • Provide clear, timely and accurate communication to PSPP leadership/appropriate audiences on PSPP performance trends and key insights.
  • Be responsible for taking data analysis and insights capability to the next level by working with data infrastructure to ensure the data is accessible, auditing existing visualization dashboards, and working with stakeholders to recommend and create new reporting/insights.
  • Deliver training as required to teams on newly developed or improved processes, systems and tools.
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
  • Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science or similar field with emphasis on data science and/or technology
  • 4+ years’ experience with scheduling construction projects using Oracle P6
  • 4+ years of related experience in applied data analytics including turning business problems into data solutions as well as hands-on development and deployment of data analytics solutions.
  • Proven ability to link P6 data to other sources and business processes such as Preconstruction and BIM/VDC to analyze complex problems and deliver insightful analytics
  • Experience with SQL scripting required; R/Python knowledge is a plus.
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems.
  • Proven analytic skills, including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
  • Experience in data visualization/BI tools – Power BI required; Tableau/Looker a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and ability to translate this into non-technical, layman’s terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large data sets and relational databases.
  • Ability to create data models and understand dependencies between source systems.
  • Construction Experience including industry trends, terminology, and typical processes is required.
  • Advanced business acumen and working knowledge of typical company operations, including how business decisions are evaluated, and the ability to apply this understanding to identify opportunities for improved decision making.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal and visual), and analytical skills are needed.
  • Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships with internal/external clients and customers.
  • A drive to do what it takes to get the job done, including taking on different roles and responsibilities and adapting to changing environments.
  • Ability to work in a flat-organization environment that requires full transparency, team collaboration, leading by influence, and communication of initiative goals and objectives
  • Ability to influence stakeholders face-to-face, and indirectly, whether through verbal or written communication and strong graphical illustration and documentation skills
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence to evangelize and speak in small or large groups
