Location: Houston, Texas

DPR Construction is seeking a Regional Insurance Coordinator with at least 3+ years of commercial construction and/or insurance industry experience to support our Central Regional offices (Austin, Dallas, Houston). This individual will ultimately be responsible for the day to day management of project documents including subcontractor insurance compliance.  Demonstrated experience working with and understanding of the following insurance lines/concepts is required:

  • General Liability                                    
  • Worker’s Compensation                        
  • Automobile                                             
  • E & O                                                    
  • Builders Risk
  • Pollution
  • Subcontractor Default Insurance     
  • Contractor Controlled Insurance Program   
  • Owner Controlled Insurance Program
  • Additional Insurance Endorsements Waivers of Subrogation

Insurance Coordinators will work closely with all members of the construction project teams (including Estimators, Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents and Project Accountants and FOCs).

Responsibilities may include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Generate insurance requirement documents for DPR Estimators when project is out to bid
  • Provide required Additional Insured parties to project team before subcontracts are written
  • Request evidence of insurance and required endorsements from subcontractors
  • Review, request modifications as needed and approve Subcontractor Insurance
  • Enter subcontractor insurance compliance into CMiC cost system
  • Scan (if applicable) and upload approved subcontractor insurance into CMiC PM
  • Run insurance compliance reports for open jobs and send out deficiency notices as needed for non- compliant/expired certificates
  • When project is a CCIP, help gather necessary information for brokers to compile Insurance manuals
    • Attend weekly CCIP status update calls
    • Assist with CCIP excluding parties and track insurance compliance for excluded parties
    • Assist brokers with attaining CCIP enrollment paperwork from subcontractors and other parties intended to enroll in the CCIP
  • Request certificates of insurance for clients per owner contract requirements
  • Track Builder’s Risk coverage for projects:
  • Assist with Subcontract Default Insurance Program Enrollment as needed
  • Review Owner Contract insurance requirements for alignment with DPR policies
