DPR Construction is seeking a Lead Engineer, Technology Integration (Civil Engineer) for our DPR office located in Phoenix, AZ.
The Lead Engineer, Technology Integration (Civil Engineer) assists in the design and building of commercial construction projects utilizing principles of civil engineering and advanced technologies. Working under the supervision of the Director of Construction Technology, evaluate, design, execute, measure, and monitor technology based processes as they relate to commercial construction projects. Work to ensure that process outcomes align with company strategic goals by working collaboratively across all functional groups to help improve the overall technology based process. Introduce innovation into the process that can impact results, enhance profitability and assist company in meeting business objectives and goals.
Responsibilities include: lead technology adoption and execution on commercial construction projects from conception to completion; understand project requirements and align teams on processes, tools and outcomes; review RFPs and contracts for technology requirements; identify, analyze and mitigate technology risks; create, maintain and execute project technology execution plans; create and oversee technology budgets and schedules; coordinate construction sequencing and scheduling activities, assuring they are integrated and aligned with technology based expectations, processes and deliverables; ensure all project team members are competent in the use of technology in their role; provide quality control for completeness and adherence to project Technology Execution Plan; serve as a main point of contact for technology processes, tools and related issues for company, subcontractors, clients, design teams and other project participants; ensure appropriate technology is effectively used throughout project; collaborate with company’s innovation group and identify key areas for innovation; communicate regularly with other Building Information Modeling and Technology Integration teams regarding processes and professional development; document and communicate industry trends.
The successful candidate will possess:
MS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related; and 3 years of experience in job offered or a position in the commercial construction industry; or BS Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or related, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in job offered or a position in the commercial construction industry.
Special Skills Requirements:
Must have minimum of 2 years with: precon; lean; scheduling; estimating and operations; BIM applications Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk BIM 360 Field, Autodesk BIM 360 Glue, Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Revit, and Bentley Projectwise.
1 year of experience with common building systems and components.
