Illumina Campus Building 4 | San Diego, California

This ground up addition to Illumina’s Nobel Research Campus is consistent with the existing campus architecture, featuring natural stone and high performance glazing systems. The four-story, 127,000-sq.-ft. structure consists of 1,000 tons of structural steel using the state-of-the-art SidePlate Moment Frame Connection System. The project scope included extensive finished site work and landscaping that blends the new building addition with the existing campus.

Building 4 is comprised of open offices, conference rooms, a speculative lab, a development lab and a data center on the third and fourth floors. The scope also included one level of underground parking totaling 32,000-sq.-ft. The underground parking level includes a utility cage, UPS and electrical rooms, and a workshop.
