East Lake Golf Club is a legend to golf enthusiasts and some of golfing’s greats.  The club dates back to 1904 and most of the existing structure prior to this addition dates back to 1926.  The club was considered home to Bobby Jones and has been an icon in Atlanta for decades. It most recently became the permanent home of The Tour Championship, one of the Professional Golf Association major events. The Club is the permanent home of PGA’s THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola and the oldest golf course in the city of Atlanta.

The East Lake Golf Club Addition project included construction of a new Ball Room, expanded grill, extensive kitchen expansion, secondary kitchen, administration rooms and media rooms all of which blend into the existing historic clubhouse at the lower level kitchen as well as the mechanical/electrical and storage areas.

The Clubhouse features spaces that can accommodate a variety of events, from small meetings to a wedding reception for up to 400 people. For example, the main Ball Room can accommodate 160 guests for a plated dinner and 250 for a reception. This room features state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and an integrated sound system, along with views of #18 green. The Club’s main dining room overlooks the lake and 6th green of the East Lake course and provides seating for 60. The Charlie Yates Room is ideal for board meetings or small luncheons with french doors leading into the pre-function space allowing attendees to flow from meeting to dining room. The Gunn Room is an intimate room containing a permanent conference table and chairs.

Interior finishes consist of extensive millwork, hardwood floors, custom rugs in the ballroom and pre-function and epoxy kitchen floors. Exterior improvements incorporate new veranda and patio areas enhanced with porcelain pavers and ornamental iron railing, new curbs, paving and landscaping.  MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) additions include a new generator, a cooling tower to serve the new and existing portions of the building and new electric and gas service.
